Saudi Crown Prince Calls for Enhanced Cooperation at GCC-Central Asia Summit
RIYADH: In a bid to foster stronger ties and capitalize on joint opportunities, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed the Kingdom’s enthusiasm to collaborate with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Central Asian countries. The statement was made during the GCC-Central Asia Summit held in Jeddah on Wednesday.
Highlighting the pressing challenges faced by the world today, Prince Mohammed underscored the need for increased cooperation between the GCC and Central Asian nations to ensure regional security and stability. The summit aimed to explore avenues for collective action and fruitful collaboration in diverse fields.During his speech at the summit, Prince Mohammed emphasized the significance of respecting each country’s sovereignty, independence, and values, calling for non-interference in internal affairs. Moreover, he stressed the need to strengthen collaborative efforts in confronting factors that may impact energy security and global food supply chains.
The summit was a gathering of leaders from GCC countries and the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. It served as a platform for constructive dialogue, as well as a means to identify common goals and mutual interests among the participating nations.
